Female metal crew Kittie are planning to hit U.S. roads this summer with Dirge Within and Diamond Plate in tow. The following New York dates have been confirmed:

08/25/2011 – Syracuse, NY @ The Lost Horizon
08/26/2011 – Clifton Park, NY @ Northern Lights
08/30/2011 – New York, NY @ Highline Ballroom

Kittie’s forthcoming yet to be titled album is due sometime this year. According to a recent Noisecreep interview with frontwoman Morgan Lander, the new album:

contains some of the most difficult and personal subject matter I have had the pleasure (or displeasure) of writing.

Morgan also had the following to say about her career:

I am feeling pretty good about it. It’s crazy. I am in my last year of my 20s so it is crazy to think back in retrospect about what we’ve gone through! I can’t believe I’ve made six albums before I turned 30. It sounds good to me!
