The 2012 edition of ‘The Summer Slaughter Tour’ (remaining dates here), featuring Cannibal Corpse, Between The Buried And Me, The Faceless, Periphery, Veil of Maya, Job For A Cowboy, Goatwhore, Exhumed and Cerebral Bore raided the city that never sleeps earlier this week, August 8th, at Irving Plaza. The NYC stop also featured an appearance by The Contortionist and a local band (unfortunately we missed the first three acts). Photos from the show can now be viewed below.
The Summer Slaughter pre-game tour that is ‘The Slaughter Survivors Tour’, featuring Fallujah, Enfold Darkness, Fit For an Autopsy and Aegaeon crashed NYC a few days before Summer Slaughter. Those pics are HERE.
California deathgrinders Exhumed, who played fourth on the bill, are celebrating the return of former bassist Bud Burke, who has taken Wes Caley‘s place on guitar. Exhumed are touring in support of their fifth full-length album, All Guts, No Glory, which you can stream in full at the end of this page. You can also stream “The Way of Flesh” from the deluxe version of the record over at Gun Shy Assassin.
Arizona death metal squad Job For A Cowboy, who were in NYC earlier this year, are on Summer Slaughter in continued support of their latest Metal Blade Records effort, Demonocracy. Bloody Disgusting are currently hosting the exclusive (NSFW) premiere of Job For A Cowboy’s “Tarnished Gluttony” music video, which was directed by Michael Panduro (Saint Vitus, Cephalic Carnage). Check it out HERE or at the end of this post.
New York death metal vets Cannibal Corpse – who are headlining this year’s Summer Slaughter, and who will appear at the inaugural Knot Fest alongside Slipknot, Deftones, Lamb Of God, Deathklok, Gojira (who played Santos last night) and more – are trekking in support of their twelfth studio album, Torture, which dropped earlier this year via Metal Blade Records. Stream the first track off the album titled “Demented Aggression” and the music video to “Encased in Concrete” below.
