The 2012 edition of ‘The Summer Slaughter Tour’ (remaining dates here), featuring Cannibal Corpse, Between The Buried And Me, The Faceless, Periphery, Veil of Maya, Job For A Cowboy, Goatwhore, Exhumed and Cerebral Bore raided the city that never sleeps earlier this week, August 8th, at Irving Plaza. The NYC stop also featured an appearance by The Contortionist and a local band (unfortunately we missed the first three acts). Photos from the show can now be viewed below.

California deathgrinders Exhumed, who played fourth on the bill, are celebrating the return of former bassist Bud Burke, who has taken Wes Caley‘s place on guitar. Exhumed are touring in support of their fifth full-length album, All Guts, No Glory, which you can stream in full at the end of this page. Arizona death metal squad Job For A Cowboy, who were in NYC earlier this year, are on Summer Slaughter in continued support of their latest Metal Blade Records effort, Demonocracy. Bloody Disgusting are currently hosting the exclusive (NSFW) premiere of Job For A Cowboy’s “Tarnished Gluttony” music video, which was directed by Michael Panduro (Saint Vitus, Cephalic Carnage). New York death metal vets Cannibal Corpse – who are headlining this year’s Summer Slaughter, and who will appear at the inaugural Knot Fest alongside Slipknot, Deftones, Lamb Of God, Deathklok, Gojira (who played Santos last night) and more – are trekking in support of their twelfth studio album, Torture, which dropped earlier this year via Metal Blade Records.
