The Summer Slaughter Tour 2012, which featured performances by Cannibal Corpse, Between The Buried And Me, The Faceless, Periphery, Veil of Maya, Job For A Cowboy, Goatwhore, Exhumed, Cerebral Bore and a special guest local opener at every stop, came to a close a few weeks ago, but not before demolishing a sold out Irving Plaza on August 8th. Our first round of pics from the NYC show are HERE. Check out a second set of photos below (sans the first few opening acts).
Speaking of Cannibal Corpse, The PRP are reporting that the five-piece NY death metal vets are currently plotting a fall US run with Misery Index, Hour of Penance and Deeds of Flesh. Full details TBA. The trek will be in continued support of CC‘s twelfth studio album, Torture.
Summer Slaughter 2012 direct support act, Between The Buried And Me have announced that they will release a new album titled, The Parallax II: Future Sequence, on October 9th via Metal Blade Records. The album’s concept is the continuation of the band’s 2011 EP, The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues.
Arizona death metallers Job For A Cowboy are out promoting a Metal Blade release of their own entitled, Demonocracy. If you have yet to see JFAC‘s official (NSFW) video for their track “Tarnished Gluttony,” make sure to do so NOW.
New Orleans, Louisiana blackened death metal crew Goatwhore are currently taking a break from the road, but will no doubt be back soon to their usual shenanigans. Their latest depravity, Blood for the Master, is out now.
