New York Comic Con, the yearly pop culture extravaganza dedicated to comic book fans, came and went, but not before leaving its mark on the Jacob Javits Convention Center for the sixth year in a row. While at Comic Con, we ran into Iced Earth mainman Jon Schaffer at the Silver Circle booth, where he met fans and signed autographs. Silver Circle, an animated film about a group of rebels planning to take down the Federal Reserve after a heavy economic crash in 2019, is scheduled to be released in theaters in January 2013. Silver Circle is also a full graphic novel, which is out now. Jon Schaffer appears as a character in the movie and Sons of Liberty (Jon‘s highly-political side project) is featured on the film’s soundtrack.
