Swedish heavy metallers Ghost B.C. returned to New York City over the weekend, as part of their ongoing “Haze Over North America” headlining tour, for yet another sold out appearance in The Big Apple. This time around, the devil worshiping bunch were accompanied by Ohio blackened thrashers Skeletonwitch for an unforgettable night of unhallowed practices at Brooklyn’s Music Hall of Williamsburg on Sunday (7/28).
Following Skeletonwitch‘s vigorous and forceful set, painted faces, hoods and robes filled the stage as Papa Emeritus II and The Nameless Ghouls brought forth their unholy gospels, kicking off the night with the title track off of the group’s second full-length offering, Infestissumam. The cultists then ripped through “Per Aspera ad Inferi” from the new album before delving into cuts from their debut LP hit, Opus Eponymous, including “Con Clavi Con Dio,” “Prime Mover,” and “Elizabeth” (to name a couple). Following a slew of more blasphemous tunes, Ghost B.C. eventually abandoned the stage after performing the fan-favorite track “Ritual,” but chants of “Ghuleh! Ghuleh!” from the eager crowd brought back the Satanic heavy rockers for an encore consisting of “Ghuleh/Zombie Queen” and the band’s latest single “Monstrance Clock.”
Next up for Ghost B.C., the gang will hook up with Avenged Sevenfold and Deftones for a U.S. run in October. Stay in touch with all things Ghost B.C. by following the clergy on their official site, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
