Five Finger Death Punch: Interview w/ Chris Kael at Mayhem Fest 2013 in CT

Chris of 5FDP at Mayhem Fest in CT over the summer:
Five_Finger_Death_Punch_CT-(19)

File this one under “better late than never!” A few months back (specifically on 7/21) we attended the Hartford, CT stop of what (in our opinion) was the heaviest hard rock and metal fest to tour North America during the summer of 2013, The Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival. Boasting performances by Rob Zombie, Five Finger Death Punch, Mastodon, Amonth Amarth, Machine Head and more, the 6th year of Rockstar Mayhem proved to be the fest’s most electric edition to date.

At some point in between all the headbangage, beers, and dust-filled mosh pits, we retreated to the shaded press area to sit down with 5FDP‘s bassist/backing vocalist Chris Kael to talk about the band’s fourth studio album, The Wrong Side of Heaven and the Righteous Side of Hell, Volume 1 (which was released on 7/30 and debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 chart), the group’s surprisingly heavy cover song of LL Cool J‘s “Mama Said Knock You Out,” the progress of The Wrong Side of Heaven…Vol 2 (due out 11/19), their upcoming fall tour with Escape The Fate, Miss May I, and Gemini Syndrome (which hits NYC on 10/12), and much more.

You can now watch our nine-minute-long chat with Chris below:
