The Sword releasing new album; confirm fall tour (see them in NY)

Texas heavy metallers The Sword will be releasing their fifth studio album, High Country, on NYC-based imprint Razor & Tie this Friday, August 21st. The new LP sees The Sword teaming up with producer and former Grupo Fantasma guitarist Adrian Quesada and returning engineer J. Robbins (who mixed the band’s last record, Apocryphon) to conceive the riffy 15-track opus.

In advance of the release of High Country, The Sword have announced an extensive fall North American tour, which will be split into two legs and will feature support from Kadavar (who will be in BK next month), All Them Witches and Royal Thunder on select legs. The run will also descend upon Aftershock Festival in Sacramento and Knotfest in San Bernardino. New York stops on the journey include…
