Japanese metal/J-pop sensation Babymetal will be unleashing their second studio full-length record, still untitled, through earMUSIC on April 1, 2016, a day we here in the western hemisphere consider as “April Fool’s Day,” but the charming Japanese trio are dubbing it “Fox Day.” On the day of the album’s release, the band will kick off a world tour, which currently includes a massive stint in London at the Wembley Arena.
Then in May, the group will return to the U.S. for a series of headline dates and festival appearances. The stateside run launches in New York City at the PlayStation Theater on May 4, and continues with shows in Philly, Detroit, Chicago and more. Tickets to the NYC show go on-sale starting this Friday (12/18) at noon here. If you missed their last area show at Hammerstein Ballroom in 2014, this is your chance to see what fuss is all about! All confirmed dates and a teaser trailer can be viewed below.
The new LP (which you can pre-order here) follows the band’s 2014 breakthrough self-titled debut via Toy’s Factory Inc.
