Finnish cello metal titans Apocalyptica recently concluded a U.S. invasion titled the “Shadowmaker Tour,” which lasted from mid-April through mid-May with help from Tennessee rockers 10 Years and newcomers Failure Anthem. The month-long trip made an appearance in New York City at a jam-packed Irving Plaza on May 20th. Belated pics from the NYC concert can now be viewed in this post.
Apocalyptica (ft. fresh singer Franky Perez) are not only trekking in support of their latest LP Shadowmaker but are also on the road celebrating the 20th anniversary of their Plays Metallica by Four Cellos effort, which they definitely touched upon at their Manhattan concert (see setlist at the end of this post). The band are currently back in Europe taking on the spring/summer festival circuit, storming gigs like “Download Fest,” “Stone Free Fest,” “Masters of Rock” and more (see all dates).
