British extreme metal legends Carcass recently concluded a summer U.S. headlining run titled “One Foot In The Grave,” which featured support from equally pummeling acts Crowbar, Ghoul and Night Demon. The 17-city slaughter kicked off mid-July in Lawrence, KS, and ended earlier this month on the east coast, hitting New York City for a jam-packed concert at Gramercy Theatre on August 4th. As with their previous shows in The Big Apple, Carcass dished out a decent mix of hits from their classic LPs; Symphonies of Sickness, Necroticism, Heartwork and Swansong, along with cuts from their latest LP on Nuclear Blast, Surgical Steel. Belated pics from the Manhattan show can be be viewed in this post.
As previously mentioned, Carcass will return to the U.S. this fall for a headlining trek beside support acts Deafheaven and Inter Arma, which hits Long Island’s The Emporium on November 20th [tix] and Poughkeepsie’s The Chance on November 21st [tix]. That run also cruises through Asbury Park, NJ, Reading, PA, Providence, RI, and Pittsburg, PA (see all upcoming tour dates).
