Dutch symphonic/power metal giants Epica recently concluded their “North American Principle Tour,” which set out early November in Canada with help from direct support act; Italian’s own Fleshgod Apocalypse, plus openers Arkona and The Agonist. The month-long foray came to a close on the east coast last week, with New York City hosting the penultimate stop at a packed Webster Hall on Friday, December 2nd. We unfortunately didn’t get to shoot Arkona and The Agonist, but a plethora of live shots of Epica and Fleshgod Apocalypse continue below.
The trek was in support of Epica‘s seventh studio album The Holographic Principle, which they released to critical acclaim in September through Nuclear Blast. The gang recently premiered a brand new lyric video for the track “Ascension – Dream State Armageddon”. Live footage from this clip was shot at Epic Metal Fest in Holland earlier this fall (check it out after the gallery). The band also recently unleashed a new live video from their “North American Principle Tour” (watch that below as well).
Fellow Epica label-mates, Fleshgod Apocalypse are touring in support of their latest studio effort King. Both mega acts have a string of European and UK tour dates scheduled for early 2017, check out a full list of upcoming shows here (for Epica) and here (for FA).
