Zakk Sabbath – the Black Sabbath cover band featuring guitarist/vocalist Zakk Wylde (Black Label Society, ex-Ozzy Osbourne), bassist Rob “Blasko” Nicholson (Ozzy Osbourne, ex-Rob Zombie) and drummer Joey Castillo (ex-Danzig, ex-Queens of the Stone Age) – have announced a brand new tour of the U.S. for later this year with support coming from California doom metal threesome Beastmaker. The trek launches in New York City at Gramercy Theatre on May 19 [tix on sale 2/4] and runs through June with a final stop set in San Francisco. The excursion also sees Zakk Sabbath taking on festivals such as “MMR*B*Q” in Camden, NJ, “Rock on the Range” in Columbus, OH and “Rocklahoma” in Pryor, OK. Peep all upcoming dates at the end of this page

Additionally, back in September Zakk Wylde embarked on a string of free meet & greet appearances surrounding the launch of his new company Wylde Audio. The tour cruised through NYC for a stop at Guitar Center in Union Square on Sept. 16. A series of never-before-posted behind-the-scenes photos from the Manhattan event can now be viewed in this post.

Last year saw the release of Zakk Wylde‘s second solo studio album, Book of Shadows II, through eOne Music. The official video for the single “Lost Prayer” premiered last month and can be streamed after the gallery.
