Photos: Rise Against & Dead Heavens played House of Vans (4/24)
In support of their upcoming full-length album on Virgin Records titled Wolves (due 6/9), hardcore punk rock heroes Rise Against performed free shows at House of Vans in Chicago and Brooklyn. The BK gig went down two Mondays ago (4/24) with help from local rockers Dead Heavens. Fans lucky enough to find their way into the sold-out affair were not only treated to incredible sets from both acts, but also unlimited free beer thanks to Goose IPA.
For those of you taking notes, Rise Against performed a mix of tracks from their albums Siren Song of the Counter Culture, Revolutions Per Minute, Endgame, Appeal to Reason, Willy and the Poor Boys, The Unraveling and The Sufferer & the Witness. Fresh cuts off of Wolves such as “Wolves,” “Welcome to the Breakdown” and “The Violence” also made the night’s set list, along with a cover of Creedence Clearwater Revival‘s “Fortunate Son.”

Next up for Rise Against, they’ll join up with Deftones and Thrice for a round of North American dates, which includes a stop in Long Island at Jones Beach on June 13 [TIX]. Get all upcoming dates, here.
