This past Saturday (May 20) Cro-Mags headlined the official ‘Black N’ Blue Bowl’ 2017 pre-show bash at a completely sold-out Bowery Electric in New York City. The evening also featured a special set from Carnivore‘s Marc Piovanetti and Louie Beato, who played tracks off of the band’s iconic 1987 album Retaliation, plus additional performances from Lion’s Cage, Jukai and EgoDestroys. In related news, Cro-Mags‘ John Joseph will soon hook up with his other band Bloodclot, which also features within its ranks current and former members of Murphy’s Law, Queens Of The Stone Age and Dwarves, for a round of summer tour dates beside Negative Approach. The tour hits Brooklyn at Saint Vitus on July 21 [TIX]. The band’s new album, Up In Arms, drops on July 14 via Metal Blade.
Speaking of ‘Black N’ Blue Bowl,’ the legendary hardcore fest went down in NYC at Webster Hall yesterday, May 21, with performances from Gorilla Biscuits, Rest In Pieces, Token Entry, Terror and others.
