Extreme metal supergroup Scour, which features vocalist Phil Anselmo (Down), guitarists Chase Fraser (Continuum) and Derek Engemann (Cattle Decapitation), bassist John Jarvis (Pig Destroyer) and drummer Jesse Schobel, recently ripped through Brooklyn, NY for a packed showing at the popular Saint Vitus Bar venue in Greenpoint.
The one-off concert in New York saw Scour dish out a satisfying 8-song set, consisting of a full performance of the band’s 2016 self-titled debut EP on Housecore Records, discharging songs such as “Dispatched,” “Clot” and “Tear Gas.” The gang also performed a cover of Bathory‘s “Massacre” and Pantera‘s “Strength Beyond Strength,” which caused a major riot within the swampy pit.
Scour also stormed ‘Hellfest’ in France earlier this month and currently do not have any other live shows scheduled for 2017 (stay tuned for updates). According to an interview with Anselmo on Ghost Cult Mag moments before the Saint Vitus gig, Scour have been working hard on new music for a brand new EP (more info to come).
