New York City’s own thrash metal masters Demolition Hammer recently performed a hometown show at Gramercy Theatre, where the band celebrated the 25th anniversary of their crushing 1992 full-length album, Epidemic of Violence, by performing said effort in full, dispatching rippers such as “Skull Fracturing Nightmare,” “Carnivorous Obsession” and “Aborticide.”
For safe measure, Demolition Hammer also threw in classic cuts from their equally brutal 1990 LP debut, Tortured Existence, erupting forth savage tracks like “Crippling Velocity,” “Infectious Hospital Waste” and the night’s final song “Cataclysm.” New Jersey thrashers Condition Critical and local metallers Unrelenting Force detonated the evening, setting off the pit early.
Next up for Demolition Hammer, the guys will head to Italy in July for the ‘Colony Open Air,’ where they will share the stage with legends such as Kreator and Asphyx. Follow DH‘s official social page for more info.
