Photos: An Evening with Brendon Small at Saint Vitus (8/7)

Pics by Jonathan Arevalo

The multi-talented Brendon Small (ex-Dethklok) occupied Saint Vitus in Brooklyn on Monday (Aug. 7) for an intimate live interview, solo performance and a fan Q&A + meet-and-greet, in support of his forthcoming LP, Galaktikon II: Become The Storm, which is due out on August 25 on Megaforce Records/MRI (pre-order).

The evening was hosted by Guitar World Magazine editor-in-chief, Brad Tolinski, and featured an exclusive conversation with Brendon, conducted by Saint Vitus’ own Arty Shepherd and Ron Grimaldi. The chat covered topics such as Brendon‘s former virtual band Dethklok, his super popular TV show on Cartoon Network, Metalocalypse, the impending LP Galaktikon II, rock influences, favorite guitars and much more.

As part of the brief solo set, Brendon Small played a shredtastic version of “A Quick One, While He’s Away” by The Who, music off Dethklok‘s The Doomstar Requiem and a rendition of “Dangertits” from 2012’s Galaktikon.

Ahem, it is NOT “ex” Dethklok. He is still Dethklok. It’s just on pause at the moment.
