Fresh off a spring UK run supporting the beastly Iron Maiden, Florida hard rock giants Shinedown embarked on a summer jaunt consisting of major appearances at ‘Summerfest’ in Wisconsin, ‘Ribfest’ in Illinois, ‘National Cherry Fest’ in Michigan and more, along with a handful of headlining concerts, including a gig at Huntington’s The Paramount on Thursday, September 7th.
Shinedown threw down at total 15 tracks, electrifying the crowd with numerous hits from their LPs Leave a Whisper, The Sound of Madness, Amaryllis, and their latest, Threat to Survival, with mega hits like “Second Chance,” “I’ll Follow You,” “Cut The Cord,” “45” and Lynyrd Skynyrd‘s “Simple Man” leaving a mark on Long Island. As an epic bonus, Scottish alt rock heroes Biffy Clyro provided excellent support, laying forth tracks from their latest album Ellipsis and more.
Next up for Shinedown, they’ll perform at the ‘PBR World Finals‘ in Las Vegas on November 3rd. As for Biffy Clyro, they are currently touring through the east coast with a return to NY at Syracuse’s Westcott Theater set for Sept. 15 [TIX].
