Setbacks aside, like Decapitated members being accused of gang rape and Thy Art Is Murder vocalist CJ McMahon‘s stage clothes being stolen in Canada (though his trademark North Face windbreaker is safe), ‘The Double Homicide Tour‘ pushed forth with headliners Thy Art Is Murder, plus Fallujah and Ghost Bath, concluding their month-long expedition on the east coast this past weekend.
The jaunt made an appearance in New York City at Gramercy Theatre on Thursday, September 21st, with an eager Manhattan crowd throwing down in the pit for the entirety of Thy Art Is Murder‘s 14-song set, which included new rippers “Slaves Beyond Death,” “The Son of Misery,” “Puppet Master” and more from their recently released fourth LP Dear Desolation. The death bringers also performed a slew of tracks from 2012’s Hate and 2015’s Holy War, including numbers like “The Purest Strain,” “Shadow of Eternal,” “Violent Reckoning,” “Emptiness” and the set’s encore “Reign of Darkness.” We also caught techy DM-ers and fellow Thy Art Is Murder labelmates Fallujah, who provided direct support with various hits from their latest effort Dreamless, plus more.
Next up for TAIM, the gang will travel to Europe and the UK for a lengthy trip with After The Burial and others, which will be followed by appearances in Israel, South Africa and Australia (get all dates).
