East Coast’s premiere destination for all things comics, video games, movies, toys, cosplay and more, New York Comic Con, returned to Manhattan’s Jacob Javits Center this past weekend for their annual four day extravaganza. Unsurprisingly, the convention was once again completely sold out, with a just reported fan count of 200,000, smashing all previous records.
As per yearly tradition, we attended the con to take in all the sights and sounds. During our visit on Saturday (10/7), we caught a ton of amazing cosplay, including fans dressed as characters from the Marvel and DC universes, plus ‘Game of Thrones,’ ‘Preacher’ and ‘Rick and Morty’ TV shows, along with ‘It,’ ‘Transformers’ and ‘A Nightmare on Elm Street’ movies, and more. We also bumped into Claudio Sanchez (Coheed and Cambria) who was signing copies of his Sci-Fi thriller ‘The Amory Wars: Good Apollo, I’m Burning Star IV’ at his own Evil Ink Comics Booth, our boys in Twiztid who were hanging out with fans at the Source Point Press Booth, and a few other friends.
