The ‘Ultimate Principle Tour,’ featuring headliners Epica, plus amazing support from Lacuna Coil, Insomnium and Elantris, came to a grand end in New York City a few weeks backs, after taking on over 20 North American markets.
The local show took place at Time Square’s PlayStation Theater on September 29th, with a rabid audience singing, dancing and moshing to an amazing performance from Epica, who performed a healthy mix of hits from their records The Holographic Principle, Design Your Universe, The Solace System, The Quantum Enigma, Requiem for the Indifferent, The Phantom Agony, The Divine and Conspiracy, and Consign to Oblivion.
Major highlights from the set included Lacuna Coil‘s Cristina Scabbia joining the band for a rendition of “Storm the Sorrow,” and members of Lacuna Coil, Insomnium and Elantris randomly raiding the stage towards the end of the night, even during a memorable ‘wall of death’ display at the start of “Consign to Oblivion.”
We’ve got photos from Epica and Lacuna Coil‘s set in NYC via the gallery below. Epica are back in Europe, currently taking over Belgium (see all upcoming concerts).
