Post-hardcore favorites Thrice and Circa Survive have united for a colossal co-headlining North American tour with CHON and Balance and Composure in tow. The fall hike launched earlier this month in San Jose, CA and is currently docked on the east coast, having just invaded Starland Ballroom in Jersey and Terminal 5 in Manhattan.
Marking their last New York appearance before returning to the studio to start recording their tenth album, Thrice took the Big Apple by storm, dishing out rock anthems like “The Earth Will Shake,” “Firebreather,” “Broken Lungs,” “Come All You Weary,” “Deadbolt,” and “Of Dust and Nations.” Straight off their latest LP on Vagrant Records titled To Be Everywhere Is to Be Nowhere, fresh tracks “The Window,” “Hurricane,” “Blood on the Sand,” “Black Honey,” and the set-closer “The Long Defeat” resonated throughout the industrial Hell’s Kitchen venue.
Equally amazing co-headliners Circa Survive thrilled fans in attendance with proggy headbangers such as “Child of the Desert,” “Sharp Practice,” “In Fear and Faith,” “Frozen Creek,” and “The Difference Between Medicine and Poison Is in the Dose.” Touring in support of their recently release record dubbed The Amulet, the band also served the masses new songs “Lustration,” “Rites of Investiture,” “Flesh and Bone,” and “Premonition of the Hex.”
We’ve got exclusive photo evidence from the night, which includes shots of CHON and Balance and Composure, via the gallery below. The run continues through December (get all remaining dates).
