Following a successful 2017 which featured the release of their highly praised third studio album and first effort on Spinefarm Records titled Wick, Atlanta heavy rock outfit Royal Thunder are in the midst of a round of dates alongside PA stonery doomers Backwoods Payback.
The wild ride graced New York City with a stop at Brooklyn’s Saint Vitus on January 19th, featuring opening support from fuzzy rock act Heavy Temple. As per the norm when they are in town, Royal Thunder completely flattened the Big Apple, delivering auditory damage with chunky rippers like “April Showers” from the new LP and a few past favorites like “Whispering World,” “Mouth of Fire,” “Time Machine” and more.
Dig a few shots from the night’s action in the gallery below. Royal Thunder return to Saint Vitus on February 16 to surely once again batter Greenpoint with the help from The Atlas Moth and Mirrors For Psychic Warfare (ft. Scott Kelly of Neurosis & Sanford Parker of Buried at Sea). Get tickets HERE. Get more upcoming dates at this location.
