The North American leg of ‘The Incorruptible World Tour,’ featuring Tampa, Florida heavy metal pros Iced Earth, plus thrashers Sanctuary and headbangers Kill Ritual, will come to a close tonight at the Bottom Lounge in Chicago.
The run cruised through New York City a week ago today (March 22nd) for a sold-out showing at the Gramercy Theatre. Cryo blasters in tow, Iced Earth exploded onstage in Manhattan, performing a hefty 15-song set consisting of fan-favorite songs such as “Dystopia,” “I Died for You,” “Angels Holocaust,” “Travel in Stygian,” and more including new songs off their latest effort on Century Media, Incorruptible, like “Great Heathen Army,” “Black Flag,” “Seven Headed Whore,” “Brothers,” and “Raven Wing.”
For their encore, Iced Earth performed another fresh track, the beefy “Clear the Way (December 13th, 1862),” and closed out the evening with their popular “Watching Over Me” anthem, inviting kids from the audience to help party onstage.
Sanctuary, featuring guest vocalist Joseph Michael of Witherfall fame, provided direct support, performing old-school tracks like “Die for My Sins,” “Seasons of Destruction,” “Battle Angels,” “Future Tense,” “Taste Revenge,” and more.
Kill Ritual, led by original guitarist Steven Rice, warmed up the crowd with their metallic tunes, which included songs from their latest album, All Men Shall Fall.
