The blasphemous ‘Pandemoniac Wolf March,’ featuring Swedish black metal demons Watain and Australian blackened thrashers Destroyer 666, has come and gone, having kicked off in Canada in late February and eventually culminating in New York City at the end of March.
The final bashing took place at Manhattan’s Gramercy Theatre on March 31st, featuring opening support from the cryptic TOMB. Watain commanded a sold out Manhattan crowd with vile tracks like “Black Flames March,” “Malfeitor,” “Angelrape,” “Legions of the Black Light,” “On Horns Impaled,” and more. Filling the venue with their terrible stench and swine blood, the band also spewed a few new tracks from their latest full-length (Trident Wolf Eclipse) performing “Nuclear Alchemy,” “Furor Diabolicus,” “Sacred Damnation,” and “Towards the Sanctuary.”
Led by the infamous K.K. Warslut, troublemakers Destroyer 666 played songs from their latest effort (Wildfire) as well, ripping through the effort’s title-track and “Hounds at Ya Back.” The wolf pack also belched songs from their releases: Terror Abraxas, Unchain the Wolves, Phoenix Rising, plus a cover of Motorhead‘s “Iron Fist.”
Next up for Watain, they’ll head to Mexico followed by Europe and then the UK (get dates).
