Piñata Protest touring in support of ‘Necio Nights’

Necio Nights, the third studio album from Tex-Mex punk rockers Piñata Protest has been officially unleashed. The new record features appearances by Juan Brujo (Brujeria), Fredo Ortiz (Gogol Bordello, The Beastie Boys), Mark Bush (Voodoo Glow Skulls) and Ruben Durazo (Tim Time Bomb, Boogaloo Assassins). The LP’s first single “Crusty Cumbia” has invaded the airwaves; stream it below.

In support of Necio Nights, Piñata Protest will kick off a U.S. tour tonight in Austin, TX, which runs through August. The accordion-toting quartet return to New York City for a show with GBH and The Minutes at Brooklyn Bazaar on June 21 [TIX]. Piñata Protest and GBH also play Chrome in Waterford, NY on June 15.
