Supporting their new fifth studio album dubbed Always Ascending, Scottish rockers Franz Ferdinand recently descended upon New York City for headlining shows at Brooklyn Steel on April 15 and 16. The band are also scheduled to hit major markets such as Minneapolis, Houston, Los Angeles, and more before their stateside tour comes to an end in May.
Along with fresh tracks “Always Ascending,” “Glimpse of Love,” “Paper Cages,” “Finally,” “Lazy Boy,” “The Academy Award,” “Feel the Love Go,” and “Huck and Jim,” the band also treated NYC fans to major hits “The Dark of the Matinée,” “Do You Want To,” “Darts of Pleasure,” “Take Me Out,” and more, before concluding their beefy set with the 2003 classic “This Fire.”
Brooklyn’s own Bodega supported Franz in Williamsburg; check out full photo coverage, plus FF‘s full set-list from the April 16th concert in the gallery below.
