Tenacious D playing gigs this year, planning new album

Comedy rock duo Tenacious D – consisting of Jack Black and Kyle Gass – have plotted an appearance at Canada’s ‘Montebello Rockfest’ for next month, which they’ll follow with a string of USA dates in the fall.

As part of their late 2018 run, Tenacious D will perform at the newly announced ‘Cal Jam’ in San Bernardino, CA with Foo Fighters, Iggy Pop, Garbage and more. As part of their headlining dates, the twosome will infiltrate Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre on November 3 [TIX on 5/18], plus big venues in Boston, Philly, Detroit, Chicago and more.

At the end of the year, the act will return to BK’s Kings Theatre for a one-off New Year’s Eve concert on December 31 [TIX on 5/18] (this was a Ticketmaster mistake). All dates are posted below.

Tenacious D also teased they are hard at work on a new album, their first LP since 2012’s Rise of the Fenix, tentatively due out sometime this year. Stay tuned for more news.
