Today (11/9) marks the official release of Muse‘s eighth studio album on Warner Bros. Records and Helium-3 titled Simulation Theory, which Variety describes as having “electro-punkish riffs and sprightly beats filtered into its densely layered orchestration.” New songs off the LP, like “Dig Down,” “Thought Contagion,” “Pressure,” and “Algorithm,” can be streamed below. Additionally, the super deluxe edition of Simulation Theory can be accessed in full via Spotify.
In support of their new record, Muse will set out on a world-wide tour in 2019. As per the official announcement, “The Simulation Theory World Tour will feature an exciting new Enhanced Experience Package that allows access to an exclusive Mixed Reality Pre-Show Party, powered by Microsoft, with three original virtual reality games, inspired by tracks from Simulation Theory. Additional Enhanced Experience perks include a premium concert ticket, show specific poster, interactive photo experience with props and memorabilia from the band’s latest videos and more.”
The lengthy tour kicks off late February in Houston, TX and concludes late July in Spain. Unfortunately, NY is not included on this run, although the band promises “more dates to be announced.” Tri-state area’s closest stop happens at Philly’s Wells Fargo Center on April 7 [TIX].
Lucky for us, Muse will perform in NYC before the year is over. The trio are scheduled to play an exclusive album release show at the super small iHeartRadio Theater on November 14. Tickets are not available for purchase, but you can win them! The show will also be streamed live through iHeartRadio’s official YouTube channel.
The English rock giants will also perform at Alt 92.3’s “Not So Silent Night” concert at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on December 6, sharing the stage with Death Cab For Cutie, Mike Shinoda, Foster the People and others [TIX].
Muse also hit London and LA before they head out on their Simulation Theory tour. See dates via the flyer below and get full tour info HERE.
