Rick Cimato Memorial to be held at The Grand Victory

This Sunday, January 6th, The Grand Victory in Brooklyn (245 Grand St.) will hold a special memorial for local musician Patrick Cimato aka Rick (Thinning the Herd, Gods Green Earth, Locked In A Vacancy, etc), who was tragically killed over the holidays in a car crash in Connecticut. The accident also seriously injured Rick‘s brother, Nicholas Cimato, and Rick‘s girlfriend, Ashley Robinson. Two days later, Rick‘s other brother, Tony Cimato, who was not involved in the accident, passed away after battling a year-and-a-half unknown medical problem.

The memorial will be hosted by members of Gods Green Earth, Locked in a Vacancy, Nassau Chainsaw, Hickory Hawkins and the remaining members of Thinning the Herd. The event will also be a chance for family, friends and fans of Rick to listen to Thinning the Herd‘s new full-length album Freedom From The Known, which is scheduled to be released on February 5th via TTH‘s own Saint Marks Records. You can stream a new track titled “Sludge” and watch the music video for the first track on Freedom From The Known, “Never Wanted,” below.

Donations will be accepted at the memorial, to help Ashley get back on her feet. You can also donate to Rick‘s family online. Doors open at 6 PM, 21+ only. RSVP here.
