San Diego, CA’s P.O.D. are currently on the road in the U.S. on a co-headline tour with platinum selling hard rockers Flyleaf. The trek, which features support from LA rockers Stars In Stereo and Manafest, stopped by a packed house at New York City’s Highline Ballroom last Wednesday (7/24).
NYC P.O.D. fans were treated to a special surprise as Bad Brains‘ lead man H.R. came out to sing “Without Jah, Nothin'” halfway through the band’s set. Meanwhile, during Flyleaf‘s appearance, P.O.D.‘s Sonny Sandoval paid a visit on stage to help Flyleaf perform their new single, “Something Better,” which comes off of the group’s recently released EP, Who We Are. The track is Flyleaf‘s first original song with new front woman, Kristen May (watch the official lyric video at the end of this post). The night wasn’t complete without strong sets by both Stars In Stereo (who play The Paramount w/ Bullet For My Valentine on 10/18) and Manafest.
The tour runs through August 10th in San Diego, CA at the House of Blues (see all remaining dates). Check out pics from the Manhattan show at Highline Ballroom below.
