Judas Priest announce tour with Steel Panther (playing Barclays); plus special in-store signing in NYC

English heavy metal legends Judas Priest will unleash their seventeenth studio album, Redeemer of Souls, on July 8 via Epic/Columbia. The new album is the band’s first record since 2008’s Nostradamus and also their first without founding guitarist K.K. Downing, who left the band in 2011 and was replaced by new guitarist Richie Faulkner. The new LP also marks the 40th anniversary of the band (their debut album Rocka Rolla dropped in 1974).

In support of the new effort, Judas Priest will be touring the U.S. in the fall. The colossal run kicks off on October 1 at the Main Street Armory in Rochester, NY and runs through November 18 at the Maverik Center in Salt Lake City, UT. New York City will host the trek on October 9 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Ticket info TBA. Glam rockers Steel Panther (who played NYC last month) will open all dates. Check out a full list of shows after the break.

Additionally, Judas Priest have announced a special in-store signing at the Hard Rock Cafe New York (1501 Broadway) in Times Square for July 8 at 6:30 PM. How do you attend said signing event? Well, starting at 4 PM on 7/8, be one of the first fans to purchase Redeemer of Souls at the FYE booth on 43rd street at the Hard Rock TSQ and receive a wristband that will grant you access to the signing. Note, Rob Halford, Glenn Tipton, and Richie Faulkner will only be signing copies of their new album. You can also enter to win exclusive Judas Priest prizes with purchase of the new record.
