Prepare for an evening with Machine Head at Irving Plaza

A few months back, Cali metal giants Machine Head were forced to postpone their fall North American headline tour with Children of Bodom, Epica and Battlecross in tow (as previously mentioned), in order to complete their new full-length effort Bloodstone & Diamonds. Well, the new album was finally unleashed through Nuclear Blast Records to widespread critical acclaim, and now the band is gearing up for an early 2015 headline tour in support of said release that will feature no opening bands, but instead a two-hour set of pure Machine fucking Head, as leadman Robb Flynn states:

We’re doing ‘An Evening With’ MACHINE HEAD. Meaning: it’ll just be us, folks. We are really excited about the idea, playing longer sets, throwing in some deep cuts, and just having our own world. Promoters in the US seem really stoked about it, some have said it feels like ‘an event’. We’re not trying to have a good time with a bunch of people who don’t know who we are. If MACHINE HEAD throws a party, big or small, we don’t want a bunch of ‘strangers’ there. This is about us and you guys, the die-hards! The Fucking Undesirables! We don’t care about the others out there. We’re here and we’re not going anywhere, if those people want to be a part of this, they know where to find us. So for the time being, and maybe ‘forever’ we’re done reaching out for them.

The epic January though March journey is set to land in New York City at Irving Plaza on January 30. For those New Yorkers living upstate, the tour will cruise by Buffalo at the Town Ballroom on February 5. VIP packages are on sale now. General tickets are on sale now, too.
