Periphery to release new album; going on U.S. tour (NYC included)

Periphery live at Irving Plaza last month…

Washington, D.C. prog metal favorites Periphery have announced a brand new album dubbed Periphery III: Select Difficulty, set for release on July 22 through Sumerian/Century Media. The new effort follows the band’s highly successful Juggernaut double full-length, which they dropped in 2015 to much praise.

In support of Periphery III, the band will embark on a summer U.S. headlining tour, with help from support acts SikTh, Chon and Toothgrinder. The run, being called “The Sonic Unrest Tour,” kicks off in early August in Raleigh, NC and continues through the month with a stop in NYC at Irving Plaza scheduled for August 31 [tix on sale 4/29]. Peep a complete list of dates below.

Additionally, Periphery have confirmed a four-day, immersive summer camp titled the “Periphery Summer Jam” on July 25 to 29 at the Full Moon Resort in Big Indian, NY. Registration and more info can be found here.
