The “Abysmal Predator” tour – featuring co-headlining sets from British grindcore legends Napalm Death and melodic DM favorites The Black Dahlia Murder, plus support from Pig Destroyer, Misery Index, Power Trip and Abnormality on select dates – will come to an end tonight (11/21) in Dallas, TX. The three-week-long onslaught kicked off earlier this month in Farmington, NM, and charged through numerous major U.S. markets, including New York City, where the tour invaded a super sold-out Le Poisson Rouge on Tuesday (11/15). Check out more photos from the NYC concert in the gallery below.
As the tour’s moniker implies, the jaunt is in support of Napalm Death and The Black Dahlia Murder‘s latest studio albums, Apex Predator – Easy Meat and Abysmal, respectively. TBDM have a few more gigs lined up this week, including headliners in Memphis, TN and Louisville, KY (more details). NxDx have no other U.S. dates confirmed for 2016 — instead, the guys will perform a series of headlining shows and festival appearances early next year in Ireland, UK and Portugal (more details).
As for Le Poisson Rouge, it seems they’ve been booking heavier acts on their stage, like the recent Gorguts show — and, as noted before, they have Mac Sabbath, Metalachi and Okilly Dokilly coming through on March 29th [tix]. For anyone interested in synthwave/dark synth, French musician Perturbator hits the LPR stage on January 12th [tix].
