Billed as their “only NYC performance this year,” Brooklyn’s own metallers Candiria tackled Williamsburg’s Knitting Factory last Thursday, March 13, with support from Long Island’s Moon Tooth and newcomers Spotlights. Photographic coverage from the evening can now be viewed in this post.
In related news, Candiria, whose eighth studio album, While They Were Sleeping, dropped last year via Metal Blade Records, have been confirmed to take part in this year’s “Vans Warped Tour,” performing on the “Mutant North Stage” alongside bands such as The Acacia Strain, Being As An Ocean and Counterparts. The fest hits Long Island at Jones Beach on July 8 [TIX].
Meanwhile, Moon Tooth are currently in the studio writing their next record, the follow-up to their debut LP Chromaparagon. Stay tuned for more info.
As for Spotlights, the trio recently signed to Mike Patton‘s Ipecac Recordings for a full-length release this fall. The as-of-yet untitled full-length record is being produced by Aaron Harris (ISIS, Palms). Keep an eye out for additional news.
