The ‘Halloween Scream’ tour, featuring PA hard rock giants Halestorm, OH cosmic rockers Starset and CA alternative metal gang New Years Day, has been set in motion, having already stormed through a slew of U.S. markets, including Westbury, NY at The Space at Westbury Theater last Sunday, October 8th.
Halestorm performed a slew of songs from their latest full-length, Into the Wild Life, including tracks like “Sick Individual,” “Amen,” “Apocalyptic,” “Unapologetic” and more, along with hits from their 2009 debut ST LP and 2012 record The Strange Case Of…. The rock behemoths also dished out covers of Whitesnake‘s “Still of the Night,” Tom Petty‘s “Honey Bee” and Bette Midler‘s “The Rose.”
Starset, with their unique stage presence and tunes, revved up the crowd with songs from their brand new effort Vessels, like “Into the Unknown,” “Frequency” and “Satellite,” and anthems off their first album Transmissions, including cuts like “My Demons,” “Carnivore” and “Telescope.”
New Years Day got the party started early with a brief but well received opening set featuring mostly songs from their newest opus on Another Century, Malevolence, counting dominant tracks like “I’m About to Break You,” “Defame Me,” “Kill Or Be Killed” and more, while ending with a pair of numbers off their 2014 EP Epidemic and a crowd-crushing rendition of Pantera‘s “Fucking Hostile.”
