NOLA metal masters Superjoint recently concluded “The Broken Bones Tour,” which saw the Phil Anselmo-fronted act team up with equally devastating bands DevilDriver, King Parrot, Cane Hill and Child Bite.
New York City hosted a stop on the tour on October 11th at Gramercy Theatre, where Superjoint demolished local metal heads with a slew of heavy hitting tunes from their 2002 debut full-length Use Once and Destroy, slaying the stage with classics like “Oblivious Maximus,” “The Alcoholik,” “4 Songs,” “Antifaith,” “F–k Your Enemy,” and more. Songs from 2003’s beloved A Lethal Dose of American Hatred, such as “The Destruction of a Person” and “Waiting for the Turning Point,” and tracks from last year’s ruthless Caught Up in the Gears of Application, like “Burning the Blanket,” “Ruin You” and “Asshole,” caused an uproar in the already overwhelmed NYC mosh pit.
