UPDATE: The NYC show is now happening at Gramercy Theatre on September 9.
Prior to her appearance at ‘ProgPower USA’ in Atlanta, Finnish singer-songwriter Tarja Turunen (ex-Nightwish) has confirmed a headlining show at New York City’s Highline Ballroom for September 6, with tickets going on sale to the public starting tomorrow (3/15) at 10am, HERE.
The NYC show is part of Tarja’s upcoming CD-DVD-BluRay release celebration for Act II, with additional release shows happening in Brazil. Turunen‘s current tour schedule also includes 2018 shows in Sweden, Czech Republic, and Russia. If more U.S. dates are added to her itinerary, you’ll find out first HERE.
Last year saw the release of Tarja‘s second classical and Christmas album, From Spirits and Ghosts (Score for a Dark Christmas), via earMUSIC. Her latest LP, The Shadow Self, came out in 2016 through the same label.
Speaking of Nightwish, the Floor Jansen-fronted incarnation of the band are literally moments away (as of this posting) from taking to the stage in NYC at PlayStation Theater, as part of their ‘Decades: World Tour.’
