The Darkness

The Darkness‘ ‘Tour de Prance’, supporting last year’s Pinewood Smile album, is on its way, having ignited at LA’s Fonda Theatre in late March. The ongoing party stopped by New York City for a blowout at Brooklyn Steel on April 20th, featuring support from Tennessee garage punks Diarrhea Planet.

The Darkness‘ explosive set highlighted a handful of anthems from the newest record like “Southern Trains,” “All the Pretty Girls,” “Buccaneers of Hispaniola,” “Solid Gold,” and “Japanese Prisoner of Love.” Led by the energetic Hawkins brothers, the British heavy rockers also performed classic tracks “Love Is Only a Feeling,” “One Way Ticket,” “Every Inch of You,” “Growing on Me,” “I Believe in a Thing Called Love,” and much more.

Diarrhea Planet‘s dynamic opening performance saw cuts like “Lite Dream,” “Separations,” “Platinum Girls,” “Bob Dylan’s Grandma,” and more take front stage in Williamsburg.

The ‘Tour de Prance’ continues through May with a final showing at Dallas, TX’s South Side Music Hall (get all remaining dates).
