As part of the ongoing ‘Kings & Queens’ tour, Butcher Babies, Nonpoint and Sumo Cyco brought headbangage to Long Island for a royal rager at The Space at Westbury Theater on May 9th. Cane Hill were on the tour as well, but had to jump off a few days before the NY gig due to “an unexpected injury.”

Canadian heavy rock unit Sumo Cyco opened the evening and performed a handful of tracks from their latest full-length, Opus Mar, including songs “Sleep Tight,” “Anti-Anthem,” “Free Yourself” and more. Nonpoint brought out the hits as well, playing “Bullet with a Name,” “Breaking Skin,” “I Said It,” “What a Day” and others, along with brand new songs “Dodge Your Destiny” and “Wheel Against Will.” Butcher Babies crushed the evening, headlining with a 16-song set consisting of favorites such as “Monster’s Ball,” “Igniter,” “Magnolia Blvd.,” new cuts “Lilith,” “They’re Coming to Take Me Away” (Napoleon XIV cover) and more.

Check out live shots and fan-filmed clips from Westbury via this post. The tour returns to the Tri-state area for a gig in Sayreville on May 20 [TIX] and in Rochester on May 22 [TIX], and continues through June (all dates).
