Swedish heavy/power metal masters HammerFall have returned to North America for their lengthy ‘ReBuilt to Tour’ headlining trek, which features special guests Flotsam & Jetsam.
The run crash-landed in New York City for a hectic gathering at Gramercy Theatre on May 24th. HammerFall clobbered their NYC fanbase with classics like “Renegade,” “Blood Bound,” “Last Man Standing,” “Heeding the Call,” “Let the Hammer Fall,” and the night’s final nail in the coffin, “Hearts On Fire.” The guys also performed hits from their latest record Built to Last, playing “Dethrone and Defy,” the title-track, “Last Man Standing,” and “Hammer High.”
Flotsam and Jetsam brought their own insanity in the form of their heavy-hitting tracks ‘Dreams of Death,” “Hammerhead,” “She Took an Axe,” newer songs “The Incantation,” “Monkey Wrench,” “Iron Maiden,” and more. Locals Sanitarius and DJ Alex Kayne opened the evening.
HammerFall and Flotsam and Jetsam‘s trek together runs until late June (get dates). Check out more photos from the NYC gig in the gallery below.
