Mutoid Man

Kerrang! recently hosted the first of three killer showcases at Brooklyn’s Saint Vitus, this one being the super sold-out Mutoid Man-headlined gig on June 6th.

Featuring vocalist/guitarist Steve Brodsky (ex-Cave In), drummer Ben Koller (Converge) and bassist Nick Cageao, Mutoid Man celebrated the one year anniversary of their second full-length War Moans by performing said LP in full during their 65-minute display in Greenpoint. Fans jammed to fresh songs “Melt Your Mind,” “Micro Aggression,” “Headrush,” “Wreck and Survive,” “Bandages,” and more. The trio also performed Bleeder hits “Deadlock,” “Bridgeburner,” and “Reptilian Soul,” plus “Gnarcissist” of their EP Helium Head, and a cover of King Crimson‘s “21st Century Schizoid Man.”

Philly fuzz-rock unit Ruby The Hatchet and Austin psychedelic headbangers The Well provided support during the frenetic evening. Check out full photo coverage and live videos (thanks to Unartig) below.
