Ulver playing first-ever U.S. show in NYC next year

Norwegian experimental / dark ambient metallers Ulver have announced their first-ever concert on U.S. soil set to happen in New York City in 2019!

Meaning “Wolves” in Norwegian, Ulver was founded in 1993 by vocalist Kristoffer Rygg, and currently includes core members: keyboardist Tore Ylwizaker and multi-instrumentalist Jørn H. Sværen. The gang will finally make their stateside debut at Irving Plaza on March 21, with tickets going on sale to the general public starting this Friday (10/5) at 10 AM, HERE.

Speaking on the possibility of additional Ulver shows in the U.S., the band’s management states, “For now, this is the only confirmed show. We are currently looking at some other US options but nothing is written in stone.”

Ulver are also set to play Norway’s ‘Red Bull Music Festival Oslo‘ on October 13, sharing the stage with drone / electronic acts The Empire Line, Damien Dubrovnik, and Accrēscere.

Ulver‘s newest studio album, The Assassination of Julius Caesar, came out last year on House of Mythology.
