Washington heavy metal pros Queensryche – led by original members Eddie Jackson (bass), Scott Rockenfield (drums) and Michael Wilton (guitar), and rounded out by Parker Lundgren (guitar) and Todd La Torre (vocals) – have announced their new album, The Verdict, the follow-up to 2015’s Condition Hüman, set for release on March 1, 2019 through Century Media.
As per the official announcement, “The band’s forthcoming release was produced, mixed and mastered by Zeuss (Rob Zombie, Iced Earth, Hatebreed) at Uberbeatz in Lynwood, WA, Planet-Z in Wilbraham, MA and Watershed Studio in Seattle, WA.”
Regarding the new LP, Queensryche vocalist Todd La Torre writes, “I’m extremely proud of what we were able to accomplish on this record. The relentless dedication and hard work of everyone involved has been very rewarding. I am excited and looking forward to it no longer just belonging to us, but belonging to the world. We hope you all enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed making it!”
Michael Wilton adds, “The Verdict is the most metal and the most progressive record we have made in a long time. I couldn’t possibly be more excited for everyone to hear this.”
Supporting the impending new effort, Queensryche will set out on a spring U.S. headline tour, featuring support from Fates Warning on all dates and The Cringe in select markets.
