The 48th annual New York City Marathon took place successfully on November 4th with over 50,000 runners taking to the streets of the Big Apple, hitting every borough on their route to glory, all while millions watched and cheered in person or via the comfort of their own home.
As usual, NYC’s own punk metal vets SOS set up camp in Long Island City, Queens at Mile 14, just past the halfway mark to the finish line in Central Park, for their whopping 19th performance at the marathon. Hands down their biggest gig of the year, the band played multiple sets during their stay, discharging hours of heavy melodic grooves to the thousands of runners that hit the pavement that sunny Sunday.
