NYC-based prog metal trio Dysrhythmia (Gorguts, Behold the Arctopus) have confirmed a headlining concert in Brooklyn for early next year. “First show in almost 2 years,” commented the band. “You’re damn right we’re gonna have some new stuff to play.” The gig happens at The Kingsland on February 9, featuring support from Tri-state area acts Cleric, Pyrrhon, and Oldest. Dysrhythmia‘s latest record, The Veil of Control, came out mid-2016 via Profound Lore Records, an album Exclaim! declared to be “the band’s most cohesive release to date,” describing the effort as “ricochets between death metal blast beats and doomy washes of ethereal post-rock at a dizzying speed.” If you haven’t listened to it already, check out the stream below.
Related, Dysrhythmia‘s Kevin Hufnagel recently dropped a free 2018 Halloween EP, just like he did in 2017, which features some of Kevin‘s favorite horror/TV themes arranged for guitar. Stream both releases below, as well.
