The 2018 edition of the High River Sauces-presented ‘Metal Alliance Tour’ has come and gone, having exploded in New Orleans, LA on Halloween, hitting a total of 25 North American markets before its conclusion in Easton, PA this past Friday. The extreme metal/punk rock tour featured a headlining set by the mighty Goatwhore, plus additional performances by The Casualties, Black Tusk, Great American Ghost, Morthereon (on the first half of the trek), and Gozu (on the second half).
New York City hosted the run on November 29th at the Gramercy Theatre, where fans rioted in the pit during Goatwhore ragers like “In Deathless Tradition,” “Baring Teeth For Revolt,” “Apocalyptic Havoc,” “Collapse in Eternal Worth,” among other rippers. Both local punk heroes The Casualties and Boston’s Great American Ghost got intimate with fans, bum-rushing the crowd multiple times during their energetic sets. Meanwhile, Black Tusk, gracing us with their second appearance this year, brought heavy Savannah sludge to the NYC stage.
Scroll down below for shots from the show. Goatwhore are currently wrapping up a few shows with Cloak and Great American Ghost (more info). As for The Casualties, they’ll head overseas soon for shows in Europe/UK in early 2019 (dates).
