Vertical Horizon in Japan last summer [via]…
Washington, D.C. alternative rock outfit Vertical Horizon recently confirmed their first show of 2019, taking place in New York City later this month.
Led by Matt Scannell (vocals, guitar) and rounded out by Ron LaVella (drums), Donovan White (guitar, backing vocals) and Mark Pacificar (bass, backing vocals), the band will invade Manhattan’s Highline Ballroom for a headlining gig on January 17 [TIX].
Vertical Horizon will also perform a hometown concert at City Winery Washington D.C. on January 18, and a show at City Winery Boston on January 20. Get more info here.
The band’s live shows are in support of their latest full-length, last year’s The Lost Mile, released independently and exclusively digital. Speaking with Billboard, Scannell describes the effort as their “most selfish” LP to date, “created with complete disregard of commercial viability or radio-friendly song formats,” and citing influence by Depeche Mode, New Order and The Cure.
