“AMERICA!!! Are you ready for Yngwie,” exclaims the world-renowned guitarist in a social media post earlier today, as Malmsteen has confirmed a slew of U.S. headlining dates for the spring. The mammoth 33-date adventure (with more shows to be added soon) jump starts in New Orleans in late April and runs through June.

Tri-state area stops on the outing include NYC at Sony Hall PlayStation Theater on May 22 [TIX], Old Saybrook, CT at The Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center on May 24, Ridgefield, CT at Ridgefield Playhouse on May 30, Hartford, CT at Infinity Hall on May 31, Niagara Falls, NY at Seneca Casino on June 1, and Sayreville, NJ at Starland Ballroom on June 2. The six-week trek also hits nearby PA and more. All dates can be viewed below.

Yngwie recently closed out a run with the ‘Generation Axe Tour,’ shredding beside masters like Steve Vai, Zakk Wylde, Nuno Bettencourt, and Tosin Abasi. We caught the incredible show at the NYCB Theatre at Westbury in December.
